Angel of Light is a new immersive horror experience, located in Los Angeles, California. The experience takes place in the Historic Los Angeles Theatre and this is the first year the show is running.
I found this show to be absolutely mesmerizing and breathtaking. For majority of the show, I was astounded by the beauty of the theater- the way they transformed the historic theater into a walkthrough attraction is very well done and creates an immersive experience. It is simply beautiful to look at. There were a couple intense/scary parts mixed in as well. One scene really had my heart rate up. I do not want to spoil it, but it involves complete darkness. It truly was terrifying and well done. I enjoyed the entire show, but just wish there were more scary moments like this. I would suggest going to this show for an immersive/mesmerizing experience and not to be scared.
The storyline of the show was a little difficult to follow, but there is clearly a cohesive theme to the show. Art is subjective, and I feel this haunt is very artistic. I feel that there is a lot of storyline in this show that is open to interpretation, and I really like that about this haunt.
While the theater is beautifully decorated and the layout is really interesting, the standout of this show for me are the performers. This show has a huge cast, from actors, singers, and dancers. All of them are fabulous and I love how none of them break character. From the moment you walk into the show until you leave, it is entirely immersive. There is not a moment where performers break character, and when instructions are given to move rooms, it is done in character. The acting is incredible here, and the scripts/dialogue for what the actors say is creepy.
I really loved the show and would love to come back in the future if they continue running it!
