The 13th Gate Haunted House - Review (2022)

I have wanted to visit 13th Gate for years, after hearing how amazing it is from so many other haunt fans. Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 13th Gate is known as one of the best haunts in the country. Many would even call it THE best haunted attraction. I had high expectations going into the show, because of all the hype surrounding it. I must say- 13th Gate absolutely lived up to the hype. This haunt is epic. I have been to countless haunts and 13th Gate may seriously be the best attraction I have ever been to.

13th Gate does not look like much much from the outside. However, once I entered the doors of 13th Gate I was blown away. The indoor queue line is hands down the best queue I have ever seen. The entrance of the show is an elevator scene, which I have seen many of these before. Nothing comes close to how well it is done here. The opening scene of this haunt is by far the most creative and intense opening of any haunt I have ever been to.

Upon exiting the elevator, there is so much that awaits. This show is MASSIVE and there are so many twists and turns. The theming is immaculate and there is a surprise every time you turn the corner. The set design is definitely the best I have ever seen. It is evident that there was been so much time put into building each scene. The theming is well done and seamless.

The jump scares are very well done and the actors are phenomenal. I love how they have both indoor and outdoor scenes. All of them are very well done. There isn’t a boring moment in this show and the runtime for us was 45 minutes. It is entirely immersive and absolutely astonishing.

There is nothing like it.
