Paranoia Haunted House "Extraction" and "The Wretched" : Review (2022)

Paranoia has two shows this year. The first is titled "Extraction" and the second "The Wretched"

I love both of their shows this year, and something I always love about Paranoia is how they stick to a theme and do it very well. Their shows are extremely immersive and I feel like a major reason for that is the theming. Unlike some other haunts that switch up theming as you move from room to room, the theming of the haunts is extraordinary and seamless.

Their main show "Extraction" has a sci-fi theme, which usually is not a theme I like at other haunts, but Paranoia does such a great job with it. There are some amazing animatronics in this show, the set designs are awesome, and all around the theming is very well done.

Same goes for "The Wretched." I love the theming of this show and it is a lot different than their main show. There are really amazing details in this show, and I love the seamless flow of this show, how it feels like you are starting outside in the woods and then go into the McCoy's house.

There are a lot of gruesome elements at Paranoia, and it looks realistic and scary. Nothing here is cheesy- it is all extremely realistic. They put a lot of work into all their props and sets, which makes everything very immersive. The haunt also utilizes scents, making it even more immersive. The actors are phenomenal and well trained. None of them break character and they are excellent at improvisation.

Something else to note is that Paranoia changed A LOT this year. There are so many cool scenes, sets, and animatronics that were not there in past years. It makes the haunt unpredictable. Also, the queue line they added is one of the best haunt queue lines I have ever been through. It makes the queue line seem like part of the show, so guests are entertained while they wait to enter the show.

When it comes to haunts in the southeast, Paranoia is one of the best.  Go check it out!
