Sweet Dreams Scare House is the second attraction we visited for the 2021 Season and it was quite an experience! This haunted trail is massive and incredible from beginning to end.
To start, lets talk about the cast- they are VERY interactive and VERY passionate about their show. They provide an amazing immersive experience. Sweet Dreams has multiple cast members outside of the show, so you are greeted by them when arriving. And throughout the entire haunted trail, there are a lot of them, all equally talented and passionate about their craft. We did the hands on experience, and it is very hands on. Actors got in our face and interacted with us, even taking us to secret areas of the show throughout.
The trail was really well put together, and like I stated at the beginning of the review- massive.
Now, I usually do not like to compare haunted attractions, but I feel like for the purpose of this review it is appropriate. There is another Greenville attraction nearby called Madworld-both of these attractions have the similar outdoor trail layout, but it is without a doubt that Sweet Dreams does it better. In fact, Sweet Dreams masters the art of creating an outdoor/trail attraction. I do not bring this up to talk down upon another haunted attraction but to bring up the point of why I loved Sweet Dreams so much...
There are no sections of Sweet Dreams that lack immersion- From the moment you enter the gates, til the moment you leave- there is always something going on. It is nonstop and I must say, that is something Madworld did struggle with.
There are multiple themes and houses throughout the show, and the flow between each house is very well put together. Sweet Dreams offers immersion and entertainment in all the outdoor elements of its trail (between the haunted houses) and that is something I liked about it. There isn't really any "blank space" throughout the trail... it is nonstop, interactive entertainment, and I am all for it.
